About Sharron: Sharron is the studio owner and Director of the Flourish Yoga Festivals. 

Sharron began her Yoga journey more that 15 years ago as a student looking to bring balance to body and mind as the a busy lifestyle took its toll. Many hours at a corporate desk job saw the need to find a way to release tension and chose health over stagnant energy. Yoga became part of her survival kit and pretty soon, the call to teach saw her travel to Rishikesh in her home country of India pursue her vocation to spread the love of Yoga. 

She now heads up the studio in Huntingdale, while bringing many students to classes and over the last year, to festivals around Perth. 

Her passion is Hatha, Restorative and Introspective practices that bring own deeper to the source of their own potential while proving many options for accessibility.

Heartfulness Meditation


The Heartfulness Way first published and released in 2018, is a book about heart based meditation for spiritual transformation, written by Kamlesh Patel and Joshua Pollock.

My name is Anne Light and I am one such trainer and will be able to help you experience the benefits of meditation. There will also be a few copies of the book “The Heartfulness Way” available on the day

About Beth:

Beth has been practising meditation for over 20 years and has incorporated it in to her daily life working in the corporate arena. She has extensive experience working with a variety of organisations of all sizes, government and private, at all levels of the hierarchies within.
She specialises in communication – having nearly 20 years’ experience delivering train-the-trainer and assessor training, leadership development, stress management, resilience, conflict resolution, customer service, complaint handling, workplace coaching, and more. Focusing on human behaviour, her approach is highly practical and immediately useful for her participants.
In her work with thousands of individuals over the span of her career, Beth has assisted executives and managers to reduce the confusion in their communications, improve their relationships and bring about positive change that supports their staff.
Beth is also an accredited yoga instructor with Yoga Alliance and has been training people to relax and reduce stress in their lives as part of her approach as a group fitness instructor and corporate trainer/coach. 
The philosophy that Beth holds is to practice what she teaches, and to ensure her participants are the main focus of her efforts in all her work.
The feedback consistently given by her participants of her training, workshops, classes and one-on-one work is that she provides useful, practical, and highly relevant concepts, ideas and methodologies that work, and work immediately.

1. Yoga for Leading from the Heart. Complimenting the multiple Brain Integration workshop, this yoga session will take you on a journey to open your heart, get out of your mind, and tap into your intuition. Explore yoga postures coupled with chakra-based breathing to release blocks within.  For those who have some experience with yoga, a creative and heart-focused flow of compassionate energy to light you up from within.

About Eve:

Eve is Perth’s ‘Bad Yogi.’ Her classes are full of rule breaking fun, hip hop, mudra, flow, laughter, fun and maybe a bit of booty popping. You’re bound to get a workout, a story and a huge smile on your face.

About Sam:


Sam has a passion for breaking free from linear movement and taking fitness from a monotonous chore to a playful game. Your first step onto your mat will start you on a journey far beyond its four corners. Her practice of yoga is functional movement for the body and the mind, and her flows are usually inspired by her cat (seriously!), so if you are ready to move your body in a whole new way and unleash your inner animal, come play!

Explore your inner animal with a vinyasa practice for all levels. If you have a body, you can do yoga! Release your ego and allow your body to move intuitively on and off the mat with a primal flow.

About Yuki:

Since 2012, yoga has been in and out of my life and has been the only form of fitness that sparks joy within me every time I am on the mat. Slowly, this passion has grown into a strong desire to make yoga the main focus of my life by becoming a teacher and sharing this passion to the world.

I have always loved Vinyasa flow because each class is so unique and dependent upon the teacher’s creativity and personality. I aim to blend the yin and yang, bringing order and chaos to a point of harmony in my flows.

About Amanda:

Mindful Movement & Functional Flexibility

Amanda Koh is an E-RYT500 YACEP international yoga teacher based in Singapore. She teaches yoga and movement from the unique interface of the Mindful Mobility and Functional Flexibility (MMFF) syllabus that she has created over the last decade, and has taught workshops and teacher trainings in Australia, North America, and her home region of SouthEast Asia. Her Kalari Yoga sessions are a fluid, non-traditional movement-based vinyasa that is inclusive to yoga practitioners of all levels, that enables the eccentric strengthening of the body’s core stabilizer muscles, creating increased range of motion through mobility, freedom from tension and gracefulness in strength.

Having spent the first decade of her professional life as an arts academic and educator, her experience in pedagogy and dramaturgy makes her extremely effective in the delivery of content and concept.

In Singapore, Amanda teaches at Shiva Yoga Studio as its principle teacher, Fitness First Singapore, as well as her home studio within her living space. Because of her innate ability to teach and command a presence with an audience, her classes have always been well sought after in the 14 years she has been teaching yoga.

Amanda is dedicated to inspiring and enabling people to live as their authentic selves, and to discover the strength, grace and beauty they hold within, through the celebration of life that is Yoga.

1. Backache management and relief 

Lower back pain can really steal your joy! In this 90min session, find about the different causes of lower back pain, and learn an easy routine with DIY relief techniques to manage and eliminate lower back pain. The session will consist of very easy yoga stretches, hands on self-Myofascial Release techniques and basic stability exercises that you can also practice on your own at home. Suitable for all bodies, and no yoga experience is required. Many of us have forgotten how good our bodies are meant to feel and everyone deserves to be pain free.

2. Acroyoga Basics of Flight 

Sometimes the best way to meet someone is to meet them on the mat! Connect in a completely different way with a partner, a friend, a loved one or even an unsuspecting total stranger! We will play with some Acroyoga basic techniques, get you lifted, get you laughing and get you high! You will be amazed at what you can do and have a roaring good time in the process. Suitable for all energetic and enthusiastic Yogis of all levels.




About Nicki:

Nicki has been teaching Kundalini Yoga in Kalamunda since 2011. Originally a dancer and choreographer, Nicki worked in Community Dance in North East Scotland, specialising in teaching creative dance to people with a wide range of special needs. As part of that work she ran a dance space in Aberdeen and through this discovered Iyengar Yoga, which she practiced as a student for nearly 20 years. Two kids and a move to Australia later, Nicki found Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan in 2009, and trained in the first ever Perth training in this style in 2010. Nicki has also trained in children’s and pregnancy yoga and has more recently undertaken training in Yoga for Pain and Yoga Therapy. She has been teaching Gentle Yoga for people with chronic pain since 2015, coming back to her mission to work with and improve the lives of people with special needs. As “The Gentle Yogi”,  Nicki’s classes are slow, mindful, meditative and deeply relaxing.

About Lamb:

Lamb is an internationally recognised Ashtanga Yoga instructor having completed 500hours TTC in Rishikesh, INDIA. Yoga Alliance accredited under the guidance of Yogi Kamal Singh & Sunil Sharma at Tattvaa Yogashala. “Yoga is the romance between the body, the mind and the breath. Creating space free from obstacles in your own body to live life comfortably. Yoga is freedom. I am here to assist others seek release so that they can competently dance through life..” – LAMB Nicole ‘Lamb’ Iovine is a widely respected activist having worked with some of the biggest names in the Australian dance industry, travelling the globe spreading knowledge of Ashtanga Yoga whilst inspiring Young People to follow their creative path. Having under her belt television appearances on ‘So You Think You Can Dance – top 20’, Australia’s Got Talent to dancing on tour with Timomatic & Samantha Jade, Lamb has established herself internationally as a talented professional dancer/mentor. About Colette:

Colette returned to yoga after moving to Perth, finding it transformational for body, mind and breath. With more than 700 hours of training in Perth, Melbourne and Rishikesh, India, Colette is delighted to share yoga and meditation with a diverse range of students. Her passion for human health & movement has led her to her current studies in Myotherapy. Colette teaches Yin Yoga, Vinyasa and Myofascial release in studios and gyms across Perth, including Bodhi J, Bloom Yoga Room, Vital Beat Yoga, Surge Fitness, Snap Fitness and Prima Fitness, among others. She also teaches stretching and relaxation at the airport! With students ranging in age from 3 to their 80s, in range of movement from athlete to wheelchair-bound, Colette knows that yoga truly is for EVERY BODY. Colette creates meaningful & evidence-based Yoga flows to help students reconnect with their bodies safely & joyously.

About Matthew:


Inspired by an introduction to Patanjali's yoga sutras at a young age, Matt is devoted to spreading the wisdom of the ancient tradition for maintaining health and realising the innate potential of life. Matt has been practicing yoga since he discovered the world of gurus, prayer, and meditation. Inspired by Patanjali's yoga sutras, he has since devoted himself to spreading the wisdom of the ancient tradition for maintaining health and realising the innate potential of life. In the past few years, he has trained with Perth's Sam Weinstein and completed 500hrs of training with Yoga Gita, Mysore. In his classes at the Home of Yoga in Mosman Park, the philosophy of Yoga is explored through asana, pranayama, and meditation. For him, the idea that yoga can bring everyone towards an understanding and blossoming of life is a source of continuous energy and joy. 

At The Festival:

1. Being beyond ego (talk)

This philosophy talk will explore how the modern practice of yoga can be constructed towards realising the unconditioned mind as directed by the timeless yoga sutras of Patanjali.


2. Practising beyond ego (traditional hatha yoga class)

This traditional hatha yoga class will be taken from the perspective of universal consciousness, as opposed to the distraction of the senses or building of the ego. Philosophy on the mat!

About Andrea:

Prana Yoga Perth founder & director Andrea Ushananda Morava is a senior teacher recognised by Yoga Australia who began her yoga journey in 1988 at the Dr. Susanne Schmida Institute in Vienna. She teaches Yoga since 1993 and from from 1995 Andrea was involved in the Foundation of the Prana Yoga Institute in Vienna, where she taught until 2000. During this time Andrea also completed a three year Iyengar Yoga Teacher Training in Amsterdam as well as completed the first and second series of Ashtanga Yoga in Mysore (India) She worked with BKS Iyengar, Patthabi Jois, BNS Iyengar and many more great teachers such as Nicky Knoff.

Andrea’s spiritual teacher Swami Alokananda gave Andrea the spiritual Name “Ushananda” (pronounced Ooshananda) and is guiding her into the light and origins of yoga classically taught, its endless wisdom and techniques.

Her study of body psycho therapy, as developed by Dr. Wilhelm Reich and Alexander Lowen, combined with the practice of yoga, gave her a deep understanding of energy blockages in the body, their link to one’s personal history and their possible consequences.

2010 Andrea completed an Australian doula training and supported women, including yoga students, through the birthing process.

Anneliese used to move to live, and now she lives to move. At some point over a decade teaching movement, she discovered fascia and the empowering benefits of fascia-focused training for promoting movement freedom and bringing ease and adaptability to the body. The concepts now underpin nearly every way she moves and teaches and provide a tangible, science-backed, mind-body approach to healing and dealing.

About Sue:

Sue is a Hatha Yoga and Meditation Teacher in the Himalayan Yoga Tradition -
teaching an authentic meditative style of Yoga.
After 15 years practicing Yoga, Sue had the calling to deepen her practices in
Yoga and Meditation and began her ongoing studies at Swami Rama Ashram in
Rishikesh, India. Sue is a registered RYT200hr teacher and is working towards

About Mac Diarmada:

Mac Diarmada is a solo singer songwriter stemming from the Hunter Valley on the East Coast of Australia. He draws inspiration from his extensive loving family and fellow musicians such as Eddie Vedder, Mat McHugh, Johnny Cash, Paul Dempsey, Paul Kelly and many many more to mention. After a handful of private guitar lessons at the ripe age of 16, his love for music quickly grew into songwriting and learning to express through poetry mixed with rhythm and melody and unique vocal tones.






About Simone:


Simone originates from a Registered Nursing background but soon filtered into the fitness industry in 1995, whereby she began her teaching career as a group fitness instructor and continues to work in this field today as her fulltime passion.
Simone has an extensive background in all things fitness, movement to music, dancing (commenced at 4 yrs of age), Yoga, Yin Yoga, Prenatal Yoga, Pilates, BootyBarre, Zumba/Dance Fit classes, Yoga TuneUp Balls, Roll n Release Classes, Chair Yoga, BodyBalance and many other class concepts throughout the 23 years of teaching.
Yoga is currently Simone’s main passion and focus. 
Simone’s teaching style is nurturing, guiding, educational and often subtly humorous. She has an innate ability to learn people’s names from the get-go and has a wonderful way in guiding people into their yoga asanas to achieve depth & clarity through her descriptive teaching style. About Georgia:

Georgia Carter is a delicate flower, romancing life with the passionate heat of an Australian bush fire. A seeker of wisdom, a sharer of knowledge. Asana Teacher & Yoga Student. Poet, writer & eternal questioner of truth.

Georgia began practicing yoga in 2014 as a means to heal her mind, body & spirit after walking a destructive path whilst pursuing a professional dance career. 

Her once demons of obsession shifted to an obsession with understanding the inner space & a burning desire to know herself deeper. After practicing closely with her teacher Nicole Lamb for the past 4 years, in the Ashtanga tradition a trip to india in 2018 saw her meet the Iyengar Method. Georgia now travels to India every year to work closely with her teachers there. Studying Hatha yoga in the tradition of BKS Iyengar with senior teacher Usha Devi & Advaita vedanta & yogic philosophy with Siddhartha Krishna. 

Georgia is consistently inspired by the simultaneous simplicity & depth of asana practice. She teaches traditional hatha & restorative, as well as Ashtanga. About Jane:

Jane Underwood has been teaching Hatha Yoga for nearly fifteen years, and in that time has developed a special interest in the therapeutic benefits of asana, meditation and breathing, and comprehension of the transformative nature of regular practice. 
She earned her certificate from the Fremantle Yoga Centre, and is the principal teacher at Off the Wall in East Fremantle. You can find Jane teaching at some of the most respected yoga schools in Perth, including Fremantle Yoga Centre and Yogahub. Come and learn the joy of yoga.
